About Us

The Auxiliary is a sister organization of the SPCFPD.  Its mission is to provide fundraising, fire education, administrative support, and rehabilitation services as requested by the SPCFPD Board or fire department.  It is an IRS 501(c)(3) public charity and all contributions are income tax deductible.  Anyone can join as the Auxiliary is comprised of firefighters, EMTs, spouses, and supporters of the Fire Department.

UPCOMING EVENTS

The Auxiliary sponsors several annual events including a pancake breakfast over the Labor Day weekend and a chili buffet dinner during the Christmas season.  Other fund raising events are scheduled throughout the year.

 AUXILIARY MEETING SCHEDULE

The Auxiliary meets quarterly, usually at Fire Station 1 in Guffey.  Elections are held annually during the December meeting.  For meeting dates and times, contact any of the Auxiliary’s board of directors by leaving a message at (719) 689-9479.

REHABILITATION SERVICES

One of the most important services provided by the Auxiliary is rehabilitation at fires and other long-term incidents.  The SPCFPD Board provides a vehicle to transport Auxiliary responders and supplies to the scene when requested by the incident commander.  The Auxiliary provides food, water, and sets up a safe area for emergency responders to relax and refresh themselves.
