Chief's Report February 2, 2006 |
1. ISO status. We’re down to one leaky valve on Pumper 963. The engine overhaul for Tanker 982 is complete but there are some brake upgrades that have to be made.

3. NIMS (National Incident Management System) Fourteen volunteers have been trained in IS-700, the basic Incident Management course. Board members have been given an executive overview.
4. CWPP. County Wildfire Protection Plan. Ninety-five percent of the subdivision data has been gathered and we are in the process of finalizing the data sources and category weightings for the final report.
5. Service Truck project. We purchased a used Rescue truck at a cost significantly under budget. We are in the process of outfitting it with the required equipment.
6. The Colorado Wildfire Academy is in Cortes in June. I am attempting to get as many of our volunteers to attend as possible.
