Chief's Report February 8, 2007

1. ISO status. We are postponing water movement exercises until the weather breaks and we no longer have to worry about freezing pumps and appliances. Our water training will center on our new CAFS pumper.

2. Physician Advisor: Our Physician Advisor has strongly recommended that we make arrangements for better ALS coverage. We are negotiating with Four Mile EMS Inc. for coverage by two of their Paramedics on those calls that require ALS and when Deputy Chief Stanley is not available.

3. New Pumper project: Chairman Stanley has taken over as Project Manager for this effort. We have purchased a used CAFS pumper that meets all of our specifications. It is expected to be delivered when there is a plowed road from Montana to Guffey.

4. Ambulance Stationing: In order to reduce response time, we have moved our ambulances to the outlying stations. The idea is that our EMTs will be able to get them on the road faster and reduce the travel times to medical calls. So far this approach seems to be working.

5. Promotion: Joan LePage has been promoted to Captain – Medical.

6. Medical Director’s Report
