Chief's Report July 6, 2006

  1. ISO status.  We have a lot of work ahead of us and a lot of training to adequately perform these exercises.  We will be scheduling these training evolutions during the summer months.

  2.  Runs/pageouts see summary.

  3. The countywide burn ban is still on but is scheduled to be removed at 0800 tomorrow.

  4. Service Truck project.  Our contract with the State is now complete and we have received our grant monies.  We still have some work to do such as installation of the cascade system.  The lettering has been completed and we have moved the truck so it can be seen from the highway.

  5. EMT Class.  The EMT class is finished and all that is left is for the students to take their written tests.

  6.  Wildfires.  We have responded to several mutual aid fires in the past month.  Our firefighters have performed well and have brought praises upon our department.  The “Other” response category listed above is primarily concerned with unfounded smoke reports.
